Dear future boyfriend...

Dear future boyfriend,

It's been years since I had one and maybe having you in my life would be one of the most crucial yet satisfying decision I'd ever make.

I think you know how complicated it is being in a relationship. Lots of expectations and demands and everything that adds up to this complex state makes it hard for me to keep holding on. But I wish that with you by my side would make everything worth it all.

Knowing myself, I sometimes look for perfection... anyhow, I want you to know that by choosing you, I accept every imperfection you may have. I'm not really looking for the most handsome, most intelligent and most gentleman. I am simply looking for a man I am friends with for years to whom I can share almost everything and to someone who will be able to cope up with me and my indecisiveness.

However, friendship for me does not only involve you and I, it also involve people around us: our family, friends and relatives. I also believe that for our relationship to work, it is best to have God  at the center of everything. Maybe that fact is one of the things I lack in my past relationships, and since I want to make my life better, it would be essential to remind ourselves that without Him this wouldn't be possible.

I also ought to tell you that I am often misunderstood and I want you to understand that I want to be understood. I would appreciate if you will tell me things others don't know about you. It gives me a safe zone that we have something only the two of us know.

You need not dress like a celebrity or speak in decent English. I don't need you to impress me every now and then. I just need you to be you and accept me as I am. We should also remember that trust, respect, loyalty and faithfulness are ingredients to make this relationship work.

I also would like you to know that crying is healthy sometimes...

Future boyfriend, it is enough that we love each other and we put efforts to show it. I would love to sing with you, write with you, dance with you, learn with you, dream with you, watch movies with you, laugh with you and watch the stars with you.

This may not be the last letter I address to you. Who knows when time pass I'll be writing to you as my future groom?

                                                                                                            Here to wait,
                                                                                                            Your future girlfriend
